Latest work.
Take a peek into my experience and who I work with. I mainly focus on working with clients who are contributing to making the world a happier, more hopeful place, including pioneering biotechs, sustainability and local community focused organisations, as well as health and wellbeing brands.
Interim Communications Lead
Who are they?
Global Biodata Coalition convenes the world’s research funders to exchange knowledge and build a sustainable future for the biodata resources powering breakthroughs in human health, conservation and food sustainability.
The challenge
The organisation needed an experienced pair of hands to help it maintain and build its communications function prior to hiring a permanent member of staff.
Guy and his team needed:
PR support for a large funding announcement from the European Commission
Design and implementation of a full cross-channel communications strategy for the next 3-6 months
Strategic guidance, key messaging development and internal system building
A reliable extension of the team to manage news announcements and social media channels
-
I worked with key internal and external stakeholders, including the European Commission, to develop and distribute a news announcement showcasing a new €5 million grant allocation. The announcement reached 10,000 people on LinkedIn alone.
I also developed a series of supporting pieces around the announcement, including a Q&A with the coalition’s new Executive Head and a thought leadership piece from the coalition’s Scientific Head.
I collaborated with internal stakeholders to develop ongoing communications campaigns, grow social media channels organically and improve overall engagement with the coalition’s work, more than doubling GBC’s organic LinkedIn engagement in under 8 weeks.

Communications & marketing consultant
Who are they?
Zymo is a specialist bakery software platform, designed to help small to medium bakeries cut out admin and mistakes and to run as smooth as pastry cream.
The challenge
The Zymo team needed an experienced pair of hands (and a quick-thinking mind) to develop its marketing function from scratch during a crucial growth period.
The team needed:
Support selecting a CRM inline with budget and functionality requirements
From scratch support building email communications for both cold outreach and existing customers
Automated onboarding and outreach campaigns to run while they focused on feature development
Socials built from scratch
-
From email engagement with current service users, to cold outreach to potential customers I supported Zymo to implement automated email campaigns and build high impact comms that would run in the background so their small team could focus on developing new functionality.
I provided end-to-end support, helping the team navigate CRM selection based on their needs and budget, building branded templates, mapping campaign strategy, as well as writing and deploying content.Additionally I supported Zymo to build its Instagram account from scratch. From bio writing, to follower curation and identification of content streams, I built the account from the ground-up - leading to a significant increase in direct enquiries.

“The work you've done has been a highlight of my year, knowing this stuff is in your safe hands has eased all my marketing worries. Thank you so much!”

Pilotlight is a charity which brings together charity leaders and business experts through volunteering programmes which tackle real-world challenges faced by charities.
The challenge
Pilotlight had been without a Communications & Marketing team for more than a year following internal restructuring. They needed someone to step into the gap, confidently develop a communications function, build key strategic resources, and bring renewed energy to their channels.
The team needed:
An experienced pair of hands to reenergise its channels, including LinkedIn and email automations
A lead on key organisational communications campaigns
Development of strategic tools, including audience personas
Support with their website relaunch
Clear, structured internal systems for content creation, development and sign-off
-
I supported the team as a Fractional Head of Communications over 8 months, taking on strategic work such as persona development and acting as a key stakeholder on decision making panels for agency hiring.
I developed key messaging for the website, implemented internal systems for developing content and marketing assets, designed and delivered cross channel comms campaigns and grew the organisation’s LinkedIn impressions by more than 50% in under 3 months.

Research & website revamp
Who are they?
Together Active is a charity on a mission to design out inactivity across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
The challenge
The charity was looking to update and revamp its sister website - Active My Way. The current website was outdated and highly generalised. Its messaging was inconsistent and there was a lack of clarity about what it was offering to the target audience. Their busy team simply didn’t have the time to give it the attention it needed and were looking for an experienced pair of hands to give it the TLC it deserved.
Lottie and her team needed:
A full website audit and content review
Insights into what information their target audience wanted to see
New webpage copy and webpage designs
-
I carried out a research deep dive to better understand the audience and what was and wasn’t working on the existing website. This included:
Reviewing regional Census data
Designing, distributing and analysing a survey using Typeform
Reviewing backend stats using Google Analytics
Speaking 1-1 with team members
Utilising this research I:
Created 3 audience personas to better understand the needs and challenges of the target audience
Updated key existing webpages and produced new page layout designs using Figma
Produced new high impact webpage copy based on the insights gathered during the research process
-
“Georgia has been an absolute delight to work with.
From her original proposal onward, she has gone above and beyond in every way, and is clearly determined to create content which is as inclusive, accessible, and relevant to our audiences as possible.
She’s also meticulous in her approach to organising and completing the work, with very clear timelines, asks, and progress updates along the way.
Her content is of an incredibly high quality, and she takes the time to look at everything from multiple angles to ensure it’s exactly right. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and look forward to working with her again in future.”

Annual report production & design
Who are they?
Asian Women’s Resource Centre (AWRC) is a London-based charity with the goal of supporting BME women to lead thriving, self-determined lives free of domestic abuse.
The challenge
The organisation needed both an Annual Report and Impact Report to be turned around rapidly in order to prepare for the charity’s AGM. With the organisation growing, they needed documents which not only shared the facts, but created a compelling narrative and a sense of urgency.
Punam and her team needed:
A narrative structure and case studies to support the reports
Content to be written for a full length Annual Report and a curated Impact Report
Full digital PDF designs for both reports
All turned around within 3 weeks
-
I reviewed all the resources provided by the AWRC team to create a narrative structure for the reports which covered all of the key information and case studies.
I then created the content for the team to review. Once approved, I then created a full design in Canva using AWRC brand guidelines to produce two visually engaging documents.
By carefully coordinating key milestones and feedback sessions with the team, I was able to produce the reports to a very tight deadline and provide the vital documentation needed for the charity’s AGM.
-
“Georgia understood the sensitivity of our work, paying attention to detail and bringing stories to life in a visually powerful way.
We were happy with the final product and highly recommend her for any content creation project!”
